How we met

How we met

We met at Bradley University in 1994. Chris had previously transferred to another college but returned to visit friends on two occasions during that year. From the moment we met, the attraction was there but Samantha was unavailable. The second time however, in October, she was available and the rest is history...

Our Love & the Legend of LadyHawke

This, like ours, is a story of defying the odds. Though their curse was obvious, ours was to us also so. Our curse was distance. Pulled by forces beyond our control, our love too was tested, yet it endured. We feel that in many ways, this story is our story too…

Navarre and Isabeau’s curse was that she would become the spirited Hawk by day, soaring high above the earth, while the man who loves her watches from far below, guided by the light and reassurance she unknowingly provides. At night, he would become the ever-vigilant Wolf, ever wandering and scouting sometimes only barely in sight, while the woman who loves him watches assured by the protection he unknowingly provides. Like two star-crossed lovers brought together only to part once again to their separate worlds, dusk and dawn provided the only hope, the only few moments in which they could almost connect, but not quite. As if separated by leagues of distance yet still able communicate if only through simple messages upon beams of light, they were “always together, eternally apart.”

Their love, like ours, conquered the forces that kept them apart and prospered even after the magic of their love finally broke the spell keeping them, or us, apart.
